In order to use all the features of www.jobsconnected.com, a user must register with Jobs Connected to make a Jobs Connected account. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name, email address).
Once a Jobs Connected account is made, job seekers have the ability to search and apply for positions on www.jobsconnected.com. Job seekers have the ability to upload their resume on their account profile to show employers their credentials. Job seekers can take down their resume at any time, make their profile visible only to them, or delete their profile or account completely. The information that job seekers provide us with is used to match job seekers and employers.
Employers that make an account have the ability to post positions. Only certain employer accounts can search for and contact candidates. Most employer accounts created for events hosted by institutions will not have the ablity to search for and contact candidiates to protect the privacy of their students/jobs seekers. Employers have the ability to upload videos, company logos, and other information to inform job seekers about their positions. Employers can take down positions at any time, make positions only visible to them, or delete their profile or account completely. The information that employers provide us is used to match job seekers and employers.
Video Chat Career Fair Registration
Jobs Connected hosts public career fairs as well as private career fairs. For public fairs, Jobs Connected may request that users register with Jobs Connected in order to determine the resources and staff required for the event.
For private events (such as events for a particular college or university), Jobs Connected asks its partner institution(s) whether or not registration for a career fair is desired. Partner institutions tend to be colleges and universities, but are not limited to colleges and universities and can be companies and other entities as well. If partner institution(s) desire participants to register for the event, only information that is necessary and/or requested by partner institutions is asked for upon registration. Typical registration includes name and email, but other information can be requested at the desire of a partner institution. If a partner institution desires that job seekers be able to apply for job positions through www.jobsconnected.com, then job seekers and employers must make a Jobs Connected account. Job seekers apply for jobs using their Jobs Connected Account and employers post positions and receive applications through their Jobs Connected account.
Security and Data Storage
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Online information is stored using the secure servers of WordPress and our domain provider, Godady.com, each with its own security features to prevent data theft and intrusion. Our database is under surveillance by our IT staff which monitors the data for inconsistencies and intrusions.
Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures. Our Site is also in compliance with PCI vulnerability standards in order to create as secure of an environment as possible for Users.

In such an incident, Jobs Connected will take every measure possible to mitigate the damage, including but not limited to tracking the culprits, retrieving the data, protecting data that has not been accessed, and prosecuting the culprits to the fullest extent of the law.
